If you want to fly you should be familiar with birds as it is their profession.It is also true for foreign language education.Students become more successful when they are teached by native speakers of the foreign language they try to learn since they force themselves much more in those situations and they get used to the way of thinking in the language in that way and they like not bothering themselves.

Some people support the idea that studying foreign language with non-native speakers is useful because they think the students can use their native language when they need help but in fact the problem is exactly that.If they cannot explain their problem or situation when it is required how and why do they learn the language?

In the cases in which the native language of the student and the teacher are the same they can just make guesses about how some particular mentalities in the language.But if the teacher is a native speaker of the language teached and so students are directly exposed to the original source they get accustomed to the way of thinking in that language, which is one of the crucial parts of learning a foreign language.

As students or having been a student in the past we all know that it is always the easy road they choose; therefore the end is very clear: The moment a student has difficulty in the language he/she switches into their native language and what is even worse is that teachers don’t mind it not to embarrass the student.Upon looking at this picture it is unnecessary to talk about its effectiveness.

In brief, I think anything which will be transferred should be a part of the transferrer in order to be successful in transferring.

There are so many people and places in the Second Life. You can find somebody online there at any random time of the day.But what lots of people find there or what is the thing which keeps them in Second Life for hours?We asked them and learned that their reasons are generally having fun and making friends, and there are also some people who use it  for educational purposes.

We are getting busier day by day and it means we are becoming  more tired mentally.So we are searching some funny activities to keep ourselves out of our burdens.Second Life is one of these activities and as there are real people in it, it is more preferable.

Density of our days unfortunately doesn’t just wear out us but it also cuts our relationships with the people around us.We don’t have a concept as neighbourship anymore for instance.But we still need to share some things with people.Second Life is a source for this.Making friends is one of the major purposes of the people who use it.

Second Life is not just a way of escaping from our workload, it is used like online classes also.There are some buildings made for especially for this aim.So people can meet and have lessons there.

Second Life is composed of people who have common interests and goals.Mentioned ones are just small parts of it.Moreover it is a kind of game so enjoy it :)

what if it is not important?

Some people trust their first impressions about a person’s character because they believe these judgments are generally correct. They are wrong about its frequency, I mean it's not general. It can change according to who is looked at and who is looking; moreover our appearences change very frequently and easily.

There are some people whose appearences are totally different from their characters. For example any of us have met somebody who is very unfriendly, sulky and conceited but after a while they turn into the opposite as we become familiar with them. They are even better than most others especially about friendship.

We cannot ignore the number of people who are looking very good, honest and easy going. You feel you can trust them and you can share everything with them; but they are totally cause of disappointment in the end. You can see the real astonishment when you see their exact characters.

We will change as long as the world lasts.This change can be positive or negative but it is absolutely inevitable. Of course big changes take time to take place but still they continuously affect us.So anyone shouldn't be judged according to some random minutes of their huge world.

It is wiser to give people some time to introduce themselves than depending on their first impression.The second one is not generally useful; in contrast it is almost always misleading. Good luck all of you because knowing somebody with its exact meaning is a challenging wall to climb but I am not sure about its necessity. If you ask me it is not that important.

feel the difference!

As human beings, we all see ourselves very different from the other people, sometimes even the ones closest to us.Although we have diffucilty in classifying every one of our different characteristic, we feel this difference very often.This is a good experience to understand we are right or wrong about feeling this.I believe I have such characteristics as turning into the characters in the books, laughing while sleeping, and remembering my past with the scents which I felt unconsciously while I was living this definite part of my life.

I turn into the characters of the books especially the ones which I read very excitedly.I really can't control this and I notice this towards end of the books.This sometimes ends up very odd, bad and sorrowing situations.For instance I broke up my boyfriend because in the book I was reading that time the character was cheated by his girlfriend.In another example I finished all my relationships with my friends when I read about a character who has no friend.It is not always the main character I turn into.In contrast sometimes I become the slightest character and it changes not from book to book but from part to part of the books.By the way my favourite characters whom I enjoy to be most are 'Selim' in Tutunamayanlar and 'K.' in Dava.Even if this brings me some problems I am having a masochistic enjoy in the end.

Another example of my odd caharacteristics is to laugh while sleeping.It is very usual for people to cry or speak in their sleep and you can hear such situations everyday but I am laughing while I am sleeping interestingly!It is happening less often than in the past years.When I was in high school especially in the last year I had this experience very much.It sometimes takes place in a very loud way :)Moreover in one of them I could wake up my roommates at 3 a.m. and They didn't believe I was really sleeping because they thougt nobody can laugh so loudly while sleeping.In addition sometimes I continue laughing after I wake up.Because the thing which causes my laughing in my dream is a very funny event.But in most of those situations I cannot remember my dream unfortunately.
As my oddest characteristic I should talk about the scents which is a part of my remembering system.We generally remember something in the past when we see another thing related to it.But I use my smelling sense for this and surprisingly my smelling sense is not a special one.I don't notice most smells in fact.This happens to me very rarely and it takes place either while I was thinking something in the past like an important event or I just feel a smell and remember.I love those rare times very very much.I can't explain this situation exactly to even myself.But it gives me very interesting idea that we record everything with its appearance and sound namely as video but in future times some very sensitive devices may be invented to record also smells.Because remembering with smells is the best of all types.

I am Gülşah and I am from Yozgat. I had my primary school education in Yozgat and then I went Mustafa Koyuncu Anatolian Teacher Training High School in Kayseri.After I stayed there for two and half year I came back to my hometown and I was graduated from Erdoğan Akdağ Anatolian Teacher Training High School.In the beginning it was a bit frightening to go to a new high school but after a while I got used to it and enjoyed having so many friends. By the way I am still with one of my wonderful friends, Şule Demircan.I think I am a very lucky person for having such an excellent friend.
When I was in high school, I had some teachers graduated from this university.I was fascinated by their knowledge and their way of teaching.I wanted to come this university since I became acquainted with them.But anyway I was a bit disappointed when I first came here.Now I understand that my disappointment was due to my high expectations and the diffuculty of getting used to this new environment.
In our second semester and second part of this lesson everything is more difficult and even challenging.For instance in our Advenced Reading and Writing classes of first semester we just went to the classroom, listened to our dear Professor Joshua , did some reading activities and so on.Consequently I was almost shocked when I saw the things we must do for this lesson.But according to my opinion people can adjust very difficult things if they have to be in those situations.Benefiting from this mentality I said myself ‘’okey, you will also get used to it, so the sooner you start, the better’’ and now they are about to finish for this week.
When it comes to my expectations from this lesson I haven’t got many ideas but there is something I am sure about: we will have very useful writing skills at the end of the semester .But I hope when gaining those skills we will enjoy very much.
